Sometimes , if we have a particular difficulty, it can help us to write about it. In your writing don’t collapse into distress but take a compassionate position. Imagine you are writing to yourself from your compassionate self, or possibly hearing the voice of your compassionate other.
Don’t forget to do your soothing rhythm breathing and body – focusing first as well. It’s quite interesing that when we write we get a different perspective , so writing letters to and about ourselves can be very helpful .
Indeed , there is noe good evidence that copmassionate letter writing can help us cope with difficulties.
